Golden Gifts from the Bees!
I am thrilled to let you know that my exclusive Beeswax Candle Pots are now available for a limited time.
These super special Beeswax Candle Pots have been created and handpoured here at The Honeysuckle Bee and Me using the Beautiful Pure Premium Beeswax made by our hives of Native Irish Honeybees.
It is an opportunity to highlight just how wonderful are little Irish Honeybees really are!
They have a gorgeous natural bees-waxy honey scent and are perfect for any occasion or special gift.
Each set of 2 Candles Pots includes a pretty box of 30 white tipped matches.
They are presented snuggly in wool wood within a rigid kraft gift box and all tied with natural coloured twine.
Due to our tough climate our honeybees work hard to produce wax to store their honey and raise their brood in and this is why I like to let them reuse it where possible. Unfortunately for me that means that there isn't a huge surplus, even from 25-30 hives.
When the weather is warm and there is a nectar flow on, our honeybees must gorge on around 8kgs of honey just to make 1kg of wax. Only young bees aged between 12 -18 days of age can produce it from the special glands on the underside of their abdomens. They hand together in the most amazing festoons to make heat for this process and the tiniest of flakes are an amazing sight to see.
I have poured the wax into simple handmade vanilla-creme glazed ceramic pots - I say simple because the beeswax is the hero here!
Beeswax burns brighter and slower than other candle waxes and because it is pure and natural, is suitable even for those with sensitive noses.
After you have used the candle pots they are perfect for re-using as egg cups or serving spices, dips and other condiments in.
Pure cotton wick, they are a 100% natural product.

Beeswax Candle Pots
- Never leave a burning candle unattended.
- Keep candles away from children and pets.
- Keep candles away from flammable materials or overly crowded settings.
- Remove fabric and paper label from candle before burning.
- Secure candle on a heat proof surface.
- Burn candles only in a draft-free environment. This will help to prevent any dripping or smoking.
- Light the wick from the base of the wick, where the wick comes out of the candle, to allow the beeswax to absorb into the wick. A lighter works best.
- Trim the wick before use. Keep the wick trimmed to 1/4″ and carefully repeat trim the wick during burning if necessary.
- Your candle is best extinguished using a candle snuffer to minimise smoke and risk of wax spatter.
A little bit of buzziness
Here at The Honeysuckle Bee and Me we usually keep around 20-25 hives of honeybees.
Honeybees build wax comb to rear brood in and store honey in. They can only do this when the weather is warm and they have a good nectar supply.
You can help our little honeybees and other pollinating insects by planting a mixed variety of flowering plants, hedging and trees that supply pollen and nectar through out the whole year.
