A Natural Soap and Healing Balm - Workshop
Time & Location
About The Event
Nestled near the small village of Killinchy, in the rolling green hills of County Down in Northern Ireland is my home and studio where I produce a range of hand-crafted natural, botanical skincare products and soy wax candles.
In this workshop of just a small class of 5 or 6 or participants, you will learn how to make and take away your own batch of traditional soap and also a gentle healing balm for dry skin.
We will be making a traditional cold process soap using natural ingredients with pure essential oils of sweet orange, patchouli and vanilla. It is a blend that is warm, enlivening and everything comforting, and looks so pretty too...
After a break for afternoon tea we will then make a healing balm using beeswax from my own apiary of honeybees along with specially infused oils. This is a wonderful balm to have handy in winter as it is especially moisturing for dry hands, nails or any other very dry skin areas needing some extra love.
Perhaps you have always wanted to have a go at soap and natural skincare making, alternatively, it would make a wonderful gift for a special someone else.
We will use only the finest natural and sustainable ingredients. At the end of the session you will take home your own handcrafted goodies to nurture yourself with or to give away as gifts to friends and family, worth a retail value of at least £30
No previous experience is required and all equipment and refreshments including afternoon tea will be provided for you.
